The communication challenge
A forest full of discovery.
The Animals of Mossy Forest was an in-house app project for The Flavour. Children explore the forest to find ten illustrated and animated animal characters, bringing a playful sense of discovery to the natural world.
Our approach
Illustration, movement and sound.
The app brings together Alexandra Ball’s illustration, subtle animation, music and bespoke sound effects, with a warm voice-over from Rennie Griffiths. It was created for iPad, with an iPhone version called Hide and Squeak.
The delivery
A small app with an international audience.
Our original 2014 case study recorded a five-star rating, a number-one position in the Books category in seven countries and a top-ten position in 21 countries. These are historical results from the original launch period.
